When skies are grey, we’ve headed to All for Fun on the city’s east side. The 6,000-square-foot space for kids 10-and-under has a huge wooden climbing structure great for hide ‘n seek, smaller foam version for toddlers, an inflatable castle and tons of ride-on toys, toy kitchen, costumes and train table.
There is a small seating area and free wi-fi if you’ve hit that super sweet spot where you can supervise from afar. (I am jealous.)
Getting there: Located on Birchmount Rd, south of Eglinton Ave E. in a series of strip malls. Free parking.
Low-down: Open daily for drop-in play. Children 10-and-under are $8 (additional siblings are $5). Half-Price admission on Wednesdays ($4 for the first child and $2.50 for each additional child.) Must wear socks. They do parties.
Snacks: No outside food nor drinks allowed. And it’s strictly enforced. You can buy snacks such as granola bars, apple slices, crackers, etc. but if you’re keen to eat your own, save it for before or after your visit.
Potty time: Yes, kid-friendly of course.
Next up: All for Fun’s sister indoor play space Just for Fun on Warden south of St. Clair is geared at a bit older kid crowd. This 13,000-square-foot facility has 16-foot slides, laser tag, foosball and glow-in-the-dark hole mini putt.
