Hello weekend – six ideas for your family’s to-do list in Toronto:
Roncesvalles Reindeer Shuffle – It’s the antithesis of Black Friday – yes! Shop local with kids in TOw at four kid stores in the west end – Early Bird and Worm, Hey Kiddo, Little White Sneakers and Scooter Girls. There will be crafts, music and dancing, plus a load of deals. Visit all four and get a hot chocolate from Lit Espresso Bar.
City of Toronto Outdoor Rinks open! Hurray! – Get laced up starting this weekend – be sure to check the schedules online to make sure your local rink is slated for this weekend. PS – We highly recommend Greenwood Park , the only outdoor covered rink with a skating path.
Family Nature Walks in the Rouge – There are free family friendly walks on Saturday (10 a.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m.) in the Rouge Urban National Park.
Launch of Cavalcade of Lights – First lighting of Toronto’s official Christmas Tree on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Nathan Philips Square. Expect live music and fireworks.
Kidzfest at Dundas Square – stage performances from Paw Patrol and PJ Masks, plus bouncy castles and a ferris wheel on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 11 am to 5 p.m.
Swedish Christmas all weekend long at Harbourfront Centre. PS – their outdoor skating rink is open starting at 10 a.m. on weekends. It’s free!
