Still no snow (yet) but we have lots of wintry feels in Toronto. Here are some ideas for your weekend in T.O.:
Winter at Ontario Place – The West Island is Toronto’s newest winter wonderland with a new light exhibition, bonfires and skating (on a synthetic rink). Admission is free and open from 5 am to 12 am daily. Skate rentals are $5 per kid and bonfires are on Friday nights and weekends. Starts Friday, December 8, 2017.
Polar Express in IMAX at Cinesphere – It’s the last weekend to experience this holiday classic at Ontario Place’s Cinesphere. Scheduled for 2:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 9 and 10, 2017.
Fort York Frost Fair – There will be tasty treats from the historic kitchen and unique gifts by local artisans at the Historic Fort York on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Admission is free.
TSO’s The Snowman – The TSO performs to the animated film The Snowman, plus lots of holiday classics. Sunday, December 10, 2017.
The Nutcracker – The National Ballet’s opening performance is this weekend and runs until December 30, 2017.
City of Craft – Start and finish your Christmas list at the annual City of Craft with its 60-plys artists and makers. Admission is $3. On Friday, December 8 to 10, 2017 at the Theatre Centre on Queen St. West.
