Skinnamarinky-dinky-dink, skinnamarinky do…

Parent or not, you know you know the words. And if you have little ones in TOw, guaranteed you have shared the beloved anthem and accompanying actions that you learned as a child with your own family.

The classic folk song that debuted in 1978 in Toronto by the famous Canadian trio Sharon, Lois & Bram is now a picture book. Sharon, Lois & Bram’s Skinnamarink by Sharon Hampson, Lois Lillienstein and Bram Morrison with Randi Hampson, illustrated by Qin Leng and published by Tundra Books, hits shelves this week. The new children’s book brilliantly captures the essence of the word – a community of families, friends and animals coming together in song to celebrate happiness, friendship, sharing and love.

We’re thrilled to partner with Tundra Books to offer one Kids in TOw reader a chance to win their very own copy.

To enter, visit contest details and deadline on the Giveaway Page and head to Kids in T.O. on Instagram for more chances to win.

Be sure to mark your calendars, as Sharon & Bram will be at this year’s Word of the Street, Canada’s largest open-air book fair at Harbourfront Centre, to share a special free performance as part of their official Farewell Tour. It’s a biggie – Canada’s largest open-air book fair celebrates 30 years! The family-friendly book and magazine fest has an incredible line-up of authors, book readings and performances – check out the full schedule here.
