Let it shine! From cozy and bright Instagram opps to drive thru immersive experiences, it’s safe to say, this year is lit. We rounded up some of the most epic twinkle tours for you and yours to experience this holiday season. The list is long and takes you to some sparkling spots in the city and out-to-town tours. Take advantage of the sun setting earlier in the day for some early eve outings to see the lights!

Calvacade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square 

New year, new festivities. This year City Hall has been transformed into sparkling wonderland with a big glittering tree, light installations and glowing ice sculptures. And not to forget – skating is back. Daily 5 to 11 p.m. FREE All the details are found here.

Canadian Tire Christmas Trail at Black Creek Pioneer Village

The drive-thru event takes you through a 1.5 km path featuring twinkling lights, live entertainment and interactive displays. It’s on until December 23. New blocks of tickets will be released on December 13. Learn more.

Country Bright in Milton

Another out-of-towner, but this one is a walking tour through a 19th century small town farm setting, featuring life-size snow globes and illuminated country-style displays. It’s an easy walk for little legs in TOw;  wagons and strollers welcome! Learn more.

Enchanted Forest at Evergreen Brick Works

The Brick Work’s Holiday Market – and one of the city’s most picturesque skating rinks – are back this year located in a reimagined brick factory. Be sure to pop into the Garden Market snap a pic in its cozy little Enchanted Forest (and pick up some last minute locally-produced gifts!)

Snow Magic at Ontario Place

This winter wonderland is inspired by fire, ice and light and features illuminated art projections, pyrotechnics and light tunnels across 1.7km drive. Learn more.

Polar Winter Festival at Exhibition Place

Open daily, this self-guided walking tour through Exhibition Place features a Santa selfie station, a Polar Ice Tunnel, a carousel AND Elsa appearances (on Saturday and Sunday.) All the details here.

Nights of Lights in Vaughan

A walk-thru immersive experience features four tunnels of a million LED lights that are animated and synchronized to holiday tunes. Learn more.

Santa Claus Lane along Inglewood Drive

When neighbours coordinate! If you’re in the Leaside hood, swing by Inglewood for a drive-by look at the dozens and dozens of inflatable Santas. FREE See it.

WinterFest at Canada’s Wonderland

This year’s family-friendly holiday experience features live shows, spectacular lights, hundreds of Christmas trees and ice skating on Snow Flake Lake. Learn more.

Winter Village at the Distillery District

This more Christmas Market than light festival, but the setting is so magical at night. There are local merchants, restaurants and cafés, and vendor and food cabins. On daily – FREE Mon-Thurs. Learn more.

Kensington Winter Solstice

Celebrate the return of light! This community event is back and this year, they’ll be closing down the streets of Kensington on December 21 from 6 – 9:30 p.m. and filling it with performers, music and good vibes for the neighbourhood-wide celebration FREE. Learn more.
