Good things are happening on the waterfront.

Earlier this summer, Toronto welcomed its newest place to play. This parking lot turned park is the new Trillium Park and the William G. Davis Trail, a 7.5 acre green space at the east side of Ontario Place on Lake Ontario in the city’s west end.

Just off the Martin Goodman Trail, the revitalized space is most easily explored on two wheels. For the little cyclists in TOw, the trails are smooth and wide and there are lots of grassy parts and benches to stop to watch the boats sail by, planes land and take off from the island and take in some awesome views of the city. Your kids in TOw will love the area with some larger rocks to climb and hid in, plus some sand for playing.

It’s beautifully landscaped with native plants, grasses and trees and speaks to the history of those who once lived on the lands. This reminder is marked by moccasin carved into the rocks along the gateway. The park was developed in collaboration with the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation.
