10 things to do with your kids in Toronto — May & June 2026
Wasn’t it just March yesterday? Winter has been s l o w l y loosening its grip on Toronto and signs of spring are popping us. The warmer weather is taking its sweet time to arrive, isn’t it? For many parents, they’ve already skipped ahead to summer planning. For me, I’m just trying to keep up and looking for the small pockets of time where I can hang out with my teens before they are in vacation mode.
I’m hoping they’ll want to join their mom for some adventures around TOwn. Here are 10 destinations and activities that I am adding to our family’s calendar.

1.New exhibitions at the ROM. For the nature nuts, an interesting look at Bees: A Story of Survival opens May 16th. Make your calendars: This one for the teens in TOw — Psychedelics: Art. Culture. Science. Opens on June 6.
2. Hey tweetie. It’s the annual City of Toronto Spring Bird Festival at Colonel Samuel Smith Park in Etobicoke on Saturday, May 23.
3. Explore the city at the annual Doors Open: Toronto. There are more than 160 locations. The City has a great interactive map online. Saturday and Sunday, May 23-24.
4. Teens who like vintage! Ontario Vintage Market Sundays at Evergreen Brick Works — on now. Psst: there’s also a community sauna onsite. Kotisauna closes May 31.
5. Hey girls! The HER Sports FEST is on at the Hangar at Downsview Park on Saturday and Sunday, May 22-24.
6. Top Gun Maverick in Concert — movie with live orchestra — at Meridian Hall. Friday and Saturday, May 29 & 30.
7. Farmers’ Markets head outdoors for the season. Choose one, visit them all.
8. National Indigenous Peoples Day in Toronto at Nathan Philips Square June 21st. Also: The Ontario Science Centre is hosting an Indigenous Celebration at Evergreen Brick Works on Saturday, June 6.
9. FIFA World Cup arrives in T.O. Canada vs. Bosnia on Friday, June 12, Canada plays Bosnia. (PS: Reserve free tickets for the Fan Festival at York York & the Bentway.)
