Wandering through Leslieville? We say get off the beaten (Queen St.) path and go for a dinosaur hunt. With permission from the property owners, the artist created three walls of prehistoric creatures.50dinos

Getting there: Dino Alley is on Sears St. about two T-rex steps (that’s two short blocks) south of Queen St. just west of Knox Avenue. On TTC get off at Greenwood and walk south along Knox.

Place to stomp: Sears is a lane way (there is local traffic), so best to head north along Knox and Hiltz Ave to Greenwood Park or eastward along Queen St. to Jonathan Ashbridge Park for playtime. (Jonathan Ashbridge Park hosts the Leslieville Farmers’ Market on Sundays from May until end of October.)

For the dino-sized sweet-tooths: While you’re in the ‘hood, we suggest picking up cupcakes and ginger cookies from Sweet Bliss Bakery. (Also offers delicious $3 lattes and $2 americanos but is only open Friday-Sunday.) Kids (or you) into comics? Sidekick Coffee is at Queen and Greenwood. (They also have gluten-free cookies.)
