We’ve been meaning to check out this Annex coffee shop as soon as we heard the name. Described as a “creative cafe,” RedFish BlueFish promised good coffee and free crafts. An excellent combination for those with Kids in TOw.

It was a meet-and-greet organized by Momstown that got us there. A perfect venue for a gathering of moms and little ones. A well-used craft table in the back kept kids busy while bins of blocks occupied the younger ones. We especially loved the small sink for clean up.

Crafts aside, the drinks, snacks and lunch menu for every appetite and books and board games for those feeling less artistic put this coffee spot on our must-return list. (We also eyed a super space in the back – bring on patio weather!)

TRIP TIPS:

Getting there: Paid street parking $2.25/hr on Harbord St. On TTC, the 94 Wellesley bus stops in front. Room for a few strollers inside; ramp to entrance.

Eat: Big and small bites, plus some vegan and gluten-free options. Detour coffee.

Potty time: Washroom with baby change table conveniently located on main floor.

More to do: In addition to the free drop-in craft table, there are plenty of paid programs that take place in the studio upstairs. Among them Wholeplay and Rainbow Songs.
