A cool and rainy day had us seeking another indoor play space. This time to the City of Toronto’s Playground Paradise at Flemingdon Community Centre.
Located off Don Mills Rd south of Eglington, this two-story room features a massive well-used (but clean) structure of connecting slides, tunnels, bridges and mesh ladders to keep the 12-and-unders (and the odd adult) busy and challenged. (Yes, I may have climbed and squeezed my way through to a tentative toddler. It’s possible, and a bit fun.)
Not into the heights? On floor level, you’ll find a ball pit, other small-scale plastic climbing areas and mats for the younger ones, and some big foam building blocks.
We were there at 9:30 am opening on a weekday. It was beautifully quiet. (It can hit capacity on the weekends.) We also found it quite bright (floor-to-ceiling translucent windows let light in) and tidy (no small or ride-on toys to trip over). If indoor playspaces are your thing, it’s worth checking out.
