Where are you off to? If you need a break from pumpkins, here are five things to do this weekend that don’t involve Fall warm and fuzzies:
- The annual Fire Prevention Week Open House is this Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Toronto Fire and Paramedic Services Training Centre at 895 Eastern Ave. It’s free and always fun.
– Pitchfork Ninja Breakfasts cooking class for kids (no parents!) on Sunday, October 16 at 10:30 in Leslieville. Pitchfork Company also has make-your-own Halloween Treats coming up too.
– Take your kids down to cheer on the participants of the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Sunday morning. Join one of the neighbourhood cheering sections.
– It’s a full moon on Sunday. If your kids can’t make it to see the real thing, there is special book launch and singalong for Hawksley Workman’s first children’s book Almost A Full Moon at the Gladstone on Sunday, October 16 at 12:30 (Brunch available as of 11 a.m.)
– Lego Imagine Nation Tour hits Toronto Friday after school until Sunday at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Five four-hour slots of Lego love ($30 per person.)
